- "Service" means the family legal services provided by Waris Seri, including family consultations, separation and divorce support, and custody and maintenance assistance.
- "Client" / "You" / "User" means any individual who contacts, visits our website, or engages our legal services.
- "We" / "Us" / "Our" means Waris Seri, a legal practice registered and operating in Malaysia.

- "Content" means all text, documents, and materials published on our Website.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing our Website or submitting an enquiry, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our Website or engage our services.
Our services are intended for individuals aged 18 and above, or individuals who have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement under Malaysian law. Minors may only engage our services with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian.
3. Service Description
Waris Seri provides family law legal services in Malaysia, including:
- Family Consultation — confidential advisory sessions
- Separation and Divorce Support — representation and documentation
- Custody and Maintenance Matters — representation before courts and authorities
Our services are available to clients in Kuala Lumpur and throughout Malaysia. Availability of specific services may depend on the nature of your matter and the applicable legal framework.
Information on this Website does not constitute legal advice. Formal legal advice is provided only once a solicitor-client relationship has been established through an engagement letter.
4. User Responsibilities

7. Payment Terms
Fees for our services are quoted in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Payment terms are set out in the engagement letter issued at the commencement of each matter. Our current service fees are:
- Family Consultation: RM 260 per session
- Separation and Divorce Support: from RM 715, scope-dependent
- Custody and Maintenance Matters: from RM 1,530, scope-dependent
Additional work required beyond the initial scope will be discussed and agreed with you before it proceeds. Payment is due in accordance with the terms set out in each invoice.
Refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis. Consultation fees are non-refundable once the session has taken place. For ongoing matters, fees for work already completed are not refundable.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
10. Termination
Either party may terminate a legal engagement by giving written notice. Where you terminate an ongoing engagement, fees for work already completed remain payable. Where we terminate an engagement, we will provide reasonable notice and take steps to protect your position during transition, in accordance with professional obligations.
11. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute arising from these Terms or from our legal services shall first be subject to good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia, with Kuala Lumpur as the preferred venue.
12. General
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force. Our failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of that right. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us in relation to the use of our Website, supplemented by any specific engagement letter.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version, with its "Last Updated" date, will always be published on this page. Continued use of our Website following any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
