How long does a divorce or separation take in Malaysia?

Timelines vary depending on whether the separation is mutual, whether it involves contested assets, and how promptly court documents can be processed. A straightforward uncontested matter may conclude in a few months; more complex situations naturally take longer. We will give you an honest estimate once we understand your circumstances.

Can custody be agreed without going to court?

In many cases, yes. Where both parents are willing to discuss arrangements constructively, mediation or a negotiated agreement can resolve custody and access without contested court proceedings. We work to keep matters as calm and cooperative as possible, always keeping the children's wellbeing central.

What are your fees and how are they structured?

Our consultation fee is RM 260. Separation and divorce support is available from RM 715, and custody and maintenance matters from RM 1,530. We are transparent about costs from the outset and will not add charges without discussing them with you first.
